Bennett had a great night last night! He's eating better, heart rate is down, sats are coming back up and he's off the morphine. He's much more alert today and is starting to smile again! I decided he'd be much more comfortable in his own clothes and the nurse said it was fine to dress him so yesterday he got a bath and today we put him in his onesie and baby legs!
He is back on oxygen temporarily until his lungs clear up and he can maintain his sats above 90-95. His chest x-ray looked better than yesterday and the nurse just told us that he will have one again tomorrow as well as an echo and she said when they order the echo that usually means you're going home very soon!! So maybe Monday or Tuesday?? We're so excited! We miss the girls so much and can't wait to have everyone under one roof again!!
Here are some pics from this morning:
Back on O2 but we're not gonna let that get us down!

These are Bennett's bug friends- something for him to look at and swat at while laying in his crib.
Mommy interrupting Bennett and his bug friends.
Check out these baby legs! I love these! I wish these were around when my girls were babies- great for Bennett here in the hospital but they will also be good for when he's crawling-(one size fits all). He's gotten quite a few compliments on his baby legs-hey, my boy is going to be stylin' even if he is in the hospital!
So glad to hear everything is going well. I've been following Bennett's progress and praying for him. Can't wait to see you and the girls at the pool soon. Take care.
ReplyDeleteOh my word, what a cutie! I wish those Baby Legs had been around when mine were little too, they're fabulous! Hope Bennett continues to improve and that y'all are home soon!

ReplyDeleteHappy to read that things are going quite well. I love the baby legs. I wish we would have had those when Carly was in and out of the hospital. They would have been great for hospital stays.
We've also been following Bennett's hospital stay. So glad it has gone well. You both look great, and it looks like he is getting lots of love and attention. Hope tonight is great. Sweet dreams...
ReplyDeleteThis is Joyce. Bennett is surely looking great. You're right, no big deal with a little bit of oxygen. You will be home before you know it.

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh - Bennett looks sooo good! And I must know - where did you get those baby legs?? I need some before our surgery next month!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Bennett's doing well! I like the picture where he's looking at his mama. What a sweet little guy. I love Baby Legs too. My kids are 15 and 18, so of course we had none of those back in the day.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad he is doing SO well! He looks so stinkin' cute and like he is feeling well. Yes, don't let the oxygen get you down! Gage has been on it over a year now and it really isn't all that bad! But I sure hope he gets to yank it off soon though! YAY YAY YAY for another successful surgery! Our kids are just amazing, aren't they?
