Well, Bennett will be 2 in a little over 4 months-can't believe it! And I have a feeling that this year is going to be an exciting one as far as big milestones go...big for Bennett at least....
Could this be the year he takes his first steps?
{By the way, those are his real eye lashes- my boy was blessed with some killer lashes!}
Could this be the year that he eats table food? Lord, I hope so-LOL.
Could this be the year that he starts climbing the stairs and we catch him going up half way?
Could this be the year he's able to hold our hand and walk?
Could this be the year that he says "Mama" when I come into his room in the morning?
GREAT photos! The reassuring thing is I am sure it will be a blessed year regardless ;)
ReplyDeleteYes - I'm thinking this is the year! (for Max too!)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness he is beautiful! I love those eyes and I wish I had eyelashes like that!
ReplyDeleteThose are some beautiful eyelashes, my goodness. I always thought my boys had killer lashes. I'm with you on the timing, it's now Kate's timing, iv'e learned to let it go.
ReplyDeleteOf course this will be the year! He will do all of those things and so much more. So glad you are at a place of acceptance, my friend! So jealous of those lashes, btw. :-)
ReplyDeleteLOVE this post! I think Bennett's going to have a great year with LOTS of big firsts!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post and such a cutie. All in his time it will come. I just love him so much !!!
ReplyDeleteHe is such a handsome boy!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think this year will be an amazing one for Bennett! I'm noticing such huge changes in Sweet Pea and seeing as these two follow each other fairly closely, I think Bennett will be surprising us all with his new skills.
Brace yourself for a crazy year!
could this be the year he gets even cuter? Impossible.
ReplyDeleteThe boys always get the most beautiful lashes, don't they? I guess it's because we have curlers and mascara to help us out. This is HIS year! Go Bennett!!!
ReplyDeleteI just love this boy...and yes...this is going to be HIS year! I have the same feeling about Emily...we are going to kick cancer's butt and then get to walking all over the place!
ReplyDeleteThose eyes and lashes are to die for! Beautiful child, I think I might have said that before ;) I think it will be the year for Bennett. Glad you are able to let some things go, I'm still working on this.
ReplyDeleteYou've come such a long way and it's been a joy to watch you and Bennett grow in your journey. JM has killer lashes, too! Must be a benefit of that extra chromo. I know it'll be a very special year for Bennett! Whether or not he meets the milestones you want him to meet, like you say, he will meet them when he's good and ready. And we'll be here to cheer him on. PS: I had to wait 22 months for JM to say "Mama" for the first time!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what he does this year!! My Carter has those same killer lashes. I always say he would make a beautiful girl!
ReplyDeleteOh Adrienne, he is SO BEAUTIFUL!!! Great pictures, what a talented mommy :)
ReplyDeleteOh, thanks so much for posting this! I find that most of the time I am in crazy mode because Macy isn't doing what I see other DS kids doing. Bennett is so handsome! And I appreciate your perspective on waiting for "their" time! ;) I think this is his year though!
ReplyDeleteHere is to a fabulous year filled with memorable milestones! My kids got the lashes too. Which is lucky for them because I have just a few stumpy asian eyelashes.
ReplyDeleteWell, everyone said what I was thinking...he is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe third year is so huge for our kiddos. I bet he'll be doing all of that stuff this year! Darling pictures but so expected with that cute boy!
ReplyDeletelovely! the Lord's taught me so much about His timing being perfect this year! thank you for reminding me of this! especially now as we are looking to adopt again! we've fallen in love with Lydiah on the RR website. pray for us! we are waiting on the pieces to fall into place... one of them, money! ugh, i hate it has to be about that! pray! and pray that i will be ok with the Lord's timing!
ReplyDeleteHe is soooo Handsome. Look at those eyes. Wysdom has taught me that he will do it all when he want. So my goal is just to provide the best environment for standing and walking and that's all I can do. My hubby and I made this our goal. I am sure it will be a year of many beautiful things.
ReplyDeletei am dying over these gorgeous pics of your sweet little man! this is going to be a life-changing year for all of you! hold on to your hats, trust me!
ReplyDeleteamazing photos! what a sweet boy
ReplyDeleteYou have one beautiful little boy. I always enjoy stopping in to read your honest posts. You are so right in preparing yourself for a big year with Bennett. Our Little J turned 2 in August and now is walking everywhere, going up and down stairs and definitely exerting his presence. Not talking yet, but in his time it will happen. Good luck with the year ahead.
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling. Kellan is on his own time table too, 15 mos and doesn't even sit yet! It's a bit discouraging when I see other Ds kiddos who are so much ahead of him, that are even younger, but I try to be patient, and know he will get there and meet those milestones, eventually! Bennett is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to follow Bennett in 2011, you are right this is a big year :) Hugs and awesome pics! SOoooo we need to do a playdate, I'm up for a day trip when the snow clears your only an hour away! We hurried home from NC before the snow hit this last week...xo
ReplyDeleteHe is so cute!!!!! he is doing in his own peace!!!!!
ReplyDeleteA hug from Asia
