Now you all know I don't care for cooking much but I love to bake!
The Goal: Mini Pumpkin Cakes
The Ingredients

Hmmm, not quite like the picture but in my defense I chose to use the caramel-rum glaze instead of the vanilla glaze which is shown in the first picture but next time I think I'll do the vanilla because I like how it looks better against the pumpkin color. The rum glaze was delicious though! Now those worm looking things are supposed to be vines {I know you're totally laughing right now} There is a picture of one of the pumpkins with vines and the recipe tells you how to "curl" the caramel- umm, there is no curling caramel so they end up looking like worms unless you have some curling instrument as far as I'm concerned. All in all these were very good and the girls loved them!!
Go here to get the recipe out of Southern Living Magazine!
Go here for another yummy dessert!
I think they turned out great! You are right about the different color icing. Just makes it look different! They still look delicious! :) Can you bo one of those up and send to NC!? ;)
ReplyDeleteThose look great!! As long as they taste good, that's all that really matters.
ReplyDeleteWow - I have to try these - and your vines look fine :)
ReplyDeleteYours look fine. I just saw this in the magazine the other day and I wanted to try it...lol I can only imagine what mine would turn out like though :)
ReplyDeleteI am impressed, it looks so yummy. What a good little helper you have.
ReplyDeleteGreat job. I'd still eat it :-) Do your girls always look adorable?
ReplyDeleteIt's not about the look. Which isn't that bad, btw. What people (especially family) will remember is how it tasted. And any cake with frosting is going to taste good. I might try this one. But I'm not posting pictures, LOL
ReplyDeleteThey look like a lot of fun! I love fall cooking and baking. Now if I could just find the time! Looks like you had a great helper!
ReplyDeleteThat looks delicious! I too love to bake. My favorite is this time of the year especially christmas when I bake tons of gourmet cookies. It is so relaxing and the smell fills the house.
ReplyDeleteOh, those pumpkin cakes look just fine...pretty actually. Also, your vines looks fine :-) The cake looks moist.
