Pulling to Stand....

Bennett finally did it this morning!!! Every morning when we come and get him we encourage him to pull up and lately it's just taken one little finger push on the butt to get him up but not today! He crawled right over, stretched to reach for the top of the crib, pulled his knees in close and popped up! I got all excited and that scared him a little so I got the pouty lip, naturally:)

Now of course I don't have it on tape but hopefully he won't keep this little skill a secret and will show others...we'll see.

Yay! We've been waiting for him to do this for a long time!!!!

Oh and Bennett has now learned the "thank you" sign and he'll do it if he hears someone say "thank you" but not say it himself or do it himself in the right context. So yesterday in church I came to pick him up in the nursery and there he was just doing the "thank you" sign like crazy to the nursery worker and they didn't really understand (he does it good but the worker didn't know sign language) and I just laughed because I guarantee he heard someone say "thank you" when they picked up their child and off he went with his signing! So funny!

  2. Yay Bennett!!!! It is so awesome to see our little ones be successful :) Cami is now 19 mo and has blossomed since ceasing all of her seizure medicines. She now claps, and if you ask her if she wants up and hold out your hands, she will grab ahold and try to pull to a (very wobbley) stand!

Too cute. Can't wait for pics/videos!

  10. Great Job B!

I feel for you on the sign language thing. It seems to be my biggest challenge in choosing to leave Aubrey with a sitter these days. She knows almost 100 signs, but if the sitter doesn't know any, that will just frustrate her to no end. I usually only leave her now if her sisters are around. Alice and Kate know most of them...Ella I'm afraid is no help to a sitter in that department:)

Keep up the good work though! So worth "hearing" them talk to you and communicate!

  13. Oh my goodness! This is so exciting! I did not check e-mail yesterday and my phone did not ring either, so I missed this huge milestone! "Praise the Lord" is all that I can say! such a big accomplishment for our big boy. I cannot wait to see Bennett pull himself up to stand. I know that all of you are beyond proud of him! Way to go, Bennett! Love, Grammy
