Use What You Already Have...

This is something I do ALL.THE.TIME.  I go up into my attic, search through bins and go shopping...in my own house.  This is what I "bought" today....

An old hurricane, epson salt, yankee candle wrapped in left over wrapping paper from last year, tiny ornaments I found in a drawer and jute string=easy and cheap kitchen counter decor;)  And it smells good too!

Seriously, just throw what you have together and see what you get, you may be surprised.  Okay, so there are some limitations but if you like it and it makes you smile, that's all that matters;)

Merry Christmas!

  1. Yes! I do it, too - except I go down to the basement :) I've got candle holders, picture frames, garland...all I have to do it think of a way to use it differently that I did last time!

  2. Nice! And brilliant. I always get "stuff amnesia" and think that I need all new stuff every time I want to decorate... I have to remember to do this more often!

  3. This looks great! Your blog is the second place I've seen the whole epsom salt idea with the candles, and I think it looks great! I'm thinking of using it in my centerpiece for C-mas dinner.
